If Obama is against most offshore oil drilling, nuclear power and a better battery design for cars then.......

what IS he for?

Besides filling up tires with hot air?If Obama is against most offshore oil drilling, nuclear power and a better battery design for cars then.......
I think the tire gauge energy policy is the first policy that was clearly laid out, let's give the man some credit. It was concise and easily understood. And Nascar even confirmed it for him he says (though I don't know any Nascar drivers supporting him).

Most of his policies just contain a lot of tortured language to confuse people because he's confused himself and needs a good out to ';change'; without being accused of flip flopping. If Obama is against most offshore oil drilling, nuclear power and a better battery design for cars then.......
As far as I can tell Obama only has 5 ideas on energy.

1) He is against building nuclear plants. The current most viable plan for clean energy production available.

2) He plans to increase taxes on oil which would increase the cost at the pump dramatically.

3) He believes he can force private business to develop alternatives which the public would then be forced to purchase at what would be extreme cost based on current models available.

4) Blames Americans for using more oil than necessary because of lack of routine vehicle maintenance.

5) Offers no short term sustainable solutions for increasing supply, decreasing demand from foreign sources, or reducing cost to the average consumer.

In short, Obama does not have an energy plan. Get ready for higher deficits and more inflation if he is elected and any of his ideas are implemented.
Actually Obama just switched his position on offshore drilling. In addition to offshore drilling, Obama wants to tap into our oil reserves to cut down the costs on gas prices. The thng is, Obama continues to switch because he wants to appeal to many Americans about the energy issue. Also remember he is in favor of the Wind fall profit tax that for big oil corporations that will put $1,000 into the pockets of those that are having a hard time with the rising energy costs..

Here is an article that outlines Obama's new energy plan. He made a speech yesterday concerning his plan, and I think he has some good ideas, but my hope is that he will stick to his guns and not switch his positions so frequently.

Please quit being stupid about oil.

If all USA had to do to get more oil was drill coastal waters they could have saved themselves billions and trillions of dollars by drilling here instead of mucking about with the Arabs, Jews and South Americans over the past 60 years.

When McCain says drilling here is the answer he is just blowing smoke up your butts.

You do not have enough oil to make a pinch of difference.
He just flip-flopped and now he agrees that there should be some off-shore drilling. What is he for? He's for getting himself into the White house, by any means necessary.
UNDERSTAND THIS

ALL THE DEMOCRATS DO IS BUY TIME WATCH YOU SUFFER UNTIL THE VOTERS ARE SO DESPERATE THEY'LL LET THEM SOCIALIZE AMERICAN ENERGY

MAXINE WATERS BLURTED IT OUT AND ADMITTED TO IT

then we're really EFFED!
In Florida he made the statement that he wants our country to be totally free of oil use! Bye, bye America!
natural gas, solar, wind power.
Obama is a huge quesiton mark with a lot of things
Empty suit that one is....what an idiot. I can't believe anyone is voting for him at this point. mind boggling.
